π Bullying Prevention π
October marks National Bullying Prevention Month, and here at HECES, we are committed to fostering a safe and respectful community. As a leadership school, we teach our students not only how to identify and report bullying but also how to reflect on their own actions to ensure they are always treating others with kindness and respect. We encourage parents to take this opportunity to have meaningful conversations with their children about what bullying is, why itβs harmful, and the importance of kindness in everyday interactions.
Together, we can create a supportive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to stand against bullying. By definition, "bullying is repeated, intentional behavior that involves an imbalance of power and is hurtful toward an individual. It can occur in different forms, including physical acts such as hitting or pushing, verbal acts such as name-calling or spreading rumors, and cyberbullying through the use of technological devices."
Thank you for your continued support as we seek to make HECES a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
